Terms of Court and General Information

• Terms begin, 1st Monday, Jan., Apr., July, & Oct.
• Civil Motion Day, 3rd Mondays.
• Misdemeanor appeals days, 2nd Friday of each month.
• Grand Juries, 1st day of Term and other days as needed.
• Praecipe must be filed 7 days preceding Motion Day.
• Court convenes 9:00 a.m.
• Commissioners in Chancery are utilized only in certain cases.
• Pretrial conference required in most civil cases.
• Local Rules adopted pursuant to Section 8.01-4.
