Continuance Policy

For the following matters please contact the Commonwealth Attorneys office to secure a continuance: (1) DUI (2) Hit & Run (3) RD>90 MPH (4) Non traffic Class 1, Class 2 Misdemeanors (5) Felonies -If the Commonwealth attorneys office and the defendant cannot agree on a continuance, then a hearing shall be scheduled with the court to decide on the request for a continuance. -All other criminal matters will be continue by the clerk's office one time. -Other traffic cases will be continued by the clerk's office one time to the officer's next court date. -Civil cases will be continued by the clerk's office one time with agreement by both parties. -Custody and support cases will be continued by the Clerk's office one time with sufficient time for all parties to receive proper notice.
